Identify OHS risk management needs and develop a mentoring or coaching training plan
In this task you continue with your evaluation of an organisational OHS risk management system by identifying gaps and deficiencies, particularly in relation to the OHS training program. Identify OHS risk management needs and develop a mentoring or coaching training plan to meet those needs. Particular attention should be paid to the extent to which management, team leaders and general staff are competent to carry out their OHS risk management roles. Select ONE area of concern which can be practically addressed by the introduction of a structured coaching or mentoring training program for individuals or small groups. Develop a mentoring plan outline (of about 1000 1500 words, lists and point form is appropriate) which addresses this area of concern. In your plan you will need to consider the following areas:
Principles of mentoring.
Principles of adult learning.
On or off-the-job training -
how will this be organised?
Who will participate in the training?
Mentoring arrangements or agreements between the two parties. OHS identified needs in line with legislative requirements.
Consultation arrangements with employees.
Risk management principles.
The organisations policies and procedures or proposed policy and procedure for that OHS need (if applicable).
The organisational reporting mechanisms.
