Occupational Health and Safety Program

 

The researcher is conducting an evaluative research on the occupational health and safety programs of Australian Universities. This study was formulated primarily to assess the contents of Occupational Health and Safety programs at the tertiary level and the opportunities that confronts these programs. To enable the researcher to make the necessary conclusions and recommendations for this study, it would be very much appreciated if you answer all the items in the questionnaire.

B.  Administrative, Student and Financial Resources

 

1.  The OHS Department has not experienced an increase in its annual budget despite increases in tuitions.

 

2.  There have been cases when the OHS Department cannot provide the facilities needed in teaching the course.

 

3. The lack of attractive salary and benefits drove away qualified and competent faculty and staff. 

 

4. The University has pre-programmed the schedules and development plans for the next years.

 

5. The government had allocated enough financial consideration for the development of OHS in the Universities.

 

6.  There is no definite source of improvement and development budget for the OHS Department.

 

7. There has been a decline in the enrolment of students in all the degree programs offered.

 

8. Academically, the students are excelling.
